Anthony brings over 35 years of executive experience in marketing, business strategy, and brand development to Pure Karat Creations. His career spans leadership roles across multiple industries in South Africa, including running communications and advertising agencies, developing upliftment-focused start-ups, and serving as C-Suite Marketing Executive for the country's leading luxury real estate group.
He also has a passion for sustainable development, serving nine years on the Board of the Green Building Council of South Africa in a non-executive capacity.
His expertise lies in business and marketing strategy, innovation and new business development, and corporate and consumer brand positioning.
In February 2023, Anthony transitioned from corporate leadership to founding Pure Karat Creations — driven by a vision to build a purpose-led, globally respected purveyor of precious metal coins that channels funding where it is most needed.
Raees is a Client Director at a leading Investment firm in South Africa, heading up the Middle East.
He has advised SMEs on market entry strategies, led international Arabic translation projects, and lectured in entrepreneurship and strategic management at the University of the Western Cape and other business schools.
Raees is currently pursuing a PhD in Corporate Strategy and holds an Executive MBA and Postgraduate Diploma from Henley Business School, both earned with Dean's Scholarships. He also holds a BA in Shariah from IPSA and a Diploma in Arabic and Islamic Studies from Dar al Mustafa, Tarim, where he graduated top of his class. Additionally, he has completed the memorisation of the Qur'an with Ijaazah in the Hafs recitation.
