Our 24K gold coins are minted by the Sentral Mint, which is the first mint in Malaysia to get accreditation from SIRIM QAS, Malaysia’s leading certification body, as well as NMIM, the National Metrology Institute of Malaysia, adhering to stringent levels of authenticity and certification. This certification is based on the MS 1247:2005 standard, thereby complying with the standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Each pure 24K gold collection comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity which lists the unique individual coin serial numbers, which are engraved on the edge of each coin, together with the SIRIM Hallmark.

FICA stands for the ‘FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTRE ACT’.  With South Africa having been placed on the “Grey-List” by the United Nations’ Financial Action Task Team on 24 February 2023, the South African FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTRE has amended its anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism laws, whereby we are legally obliged to ensure that all our customers complete a brief and simple FICA questionnaire, which we will assist with at the relevant time. Please note: No gold orders can be finalised or transactions processed until such time as this has been done. In terms of the provisions contained in the POPIA 2013, and in line with our Privacy Policy, this will not be shared with third parties unless so indicated or unless it is necessary to give effect to your transaction and then only with other professionals involved in the transaction.

Yes, you can sell your coins  at any time you desire. We do not, however, offer a sales or buy-back service.

It is our recommendation that our coins be presented as gifts and that they are then held by the recipient for a longer period of time, rather than being sold, ideally serving as heirlooms and being handed down to family members so as to create value in legacy. Should a decision be taken to sell them, for whatever reason, it should be noted that we do not guarantee a growth rate. We do, however, point out that, given the exclusive limited release of our coins, this could well translate into increased value in the future.

It’s best not to handle your coins directly, unless you are wearing cotton, lint-free gloves.

• Always place your coins on a clean towel or cloth on a flat surface.
• Always pick up your coins with your finger and thumb around the edge, without touching the surfaces of the coin.
• There is no need to clean your coins, in fact, you shouldn’t.
• Keep your coins in the airtight containers supplied, away from any tarnished metal.

Yes. You will notice the PayPal payment option on checkout, as well as the calculation of freight charges determined by your location. Please note that costs quoted pertain ONLY to freighting to your destination and do not include any costs that may be incurred on your side in terms of taxes payable.

Not at the moment…..but we will shortly be implementing this payment option, yes. You will be able to pay with various crypto, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Solana. 

We will be using  BitPay to process all Bitcoin orders and will advise you further when you order. You will be provided with an online Bitpay option, where you can review the accepted wallets and payment protocol utilized by BitPay.

Krugerrands are deemed to be legal tender and are therefore exempt from VAT.

For silver coins, the price is quoted and fixed at the time of online purchase.

For gold coins, as the buyer, the price will be quoted to at th time of your enquiry. Should you then make a formal order, the price will be locked for a 10-minute period pending proof of payment. Failing payment being received during this period, the order will be cancelled and a new price will be quoted.

PKC reserves the right  refuse or cancel any order deemed questionable, suspicious or of significant risk to PKC regardless of payment method and price confirmation.

Yes, freight costs will be calculated once you have finalised your order, as well as any paygate transaction fees. These will be confirmed with you when you order.

A mintmark is the small mark imprinted onto our gold coins on the obverse face to identify that these are produced by The Sentral Mint.

Proof coins (‘proofs’) are coins that are specially struck (and, in our instance, struck 4 times) so as to present a very shiny, mirror-like coin, also having certain frosted elements as part of the highly-crafted design and also towards ensuring extra sharp detail.

Proof coins need to be handled with great care so as to avoid damage and towards ensuring preservation of quality and value. In the instance that the coins are handled by yourself (out of their capsule), it is recommended that you wear cotton gloves. It is however recommended that your coins remain in their protective capsules as supplied.

Payment approvals – We process all payments through our gateway partners Yoco and Paypal (and Bitpay, for crypto payments, in due course). If you have paid with Credit Card or Debit Card , or Paypal, then this step is complete for you. If you elect to pay with EFT, then you will be required to please email through the proof of payment to accelerate the ordering process. Your order will ONLY be confirmed once the payment reflects in our bank, following which we will email you a confirmation of order.

When paying by EFT, you will have 60 minutes in which to provide a proof of payment before the order expires. You’ll need to send your proof of payment through to info@purekaratcreations.com to confirm your order. Once the payment has cleared, your delivery date will be confirmed with you. Should you fail to provide proof of payment within 60 minutes, your order will be cancelled and you will be required to re-order.
